Saints Win The Superbowl

I think that hell must have frozen over because the Saints have won the Superbowl! What a great accomplishment for a team that really needed it. As much as I am a Cowboys fan, my second favorite NFL team is definitely the Saints. Watching them win the Superbowl was such a great experience. Hearing my parents scream in excitement and reading text messages from all my Louisiana friends made the night even better.

Our Superbowl Evening
We were going to have a very small Superbowl gathering at the house on Sunday and decided that we better cancel. Jeff's Microbiology class has been giving him a run for his money and Andrew was coming down with a little cold. It was best to spend the night indoors, just the three of us.

Jeff and I have been on a diet for a few weeks and we "cheat" one meal per week. We decided to make our cheat meal for last week to be on Superbowl Sunday. I made a great dessert that I saw on the Food Network called a Pear and Cherry Buckle. It was so easy and tasted great. We got Nachos and queso from Mi Cocina and chowed down on all the great high calorie foods as we cheered on the Saints.

We decided at half-time to take the camera out and take some pictures and videos of Andrew. It was either that or watch The Who perform a mediocre half-time show. We were more interested in making faces at the camera and letting Andrew show off his Saints Jammies. He is definitely a fan of the Saints!

When Andrew knew the Saints had the game won, he decided to go ahead and spit-up all over his great jammies. Jeff decided it was because he wanted to have some 'naked' time. So, the next pics are of our chubby cutie pie in diaper-only mode.

All in all, we had a wonderful evening, ate great food and had fun playing with our little guy. The cold that he was coming down with did not slow him down at all during the game. He was quite the little trooper.
